Windrush 1027 is a celebration of movement, inspired by the stories of the 1,027 passengers who sailed from the Caribbean islands—Trinidad and Jamaica—as well as from Tampico and Bermuda in 1948, arriving on the shores of Britain.

These individuals, along with the flotilla of boats that followed, represent our community: a vibrant mix of cultures that define the fabric of our exciting and aspirational identity.

Despite facing hostility and resistance, they remained defiant. Through our products and services, we honour their heritage and carry forward their hopes and ambitions into the future.
