Island Old Fasioned

Ingredients

  • 50ml Windrush 1027 Classic Rum
  • 5ml cinnamon syrup
  • Dash of Bitters 
  • dash of cinnamon powder  
  • Garnish with orange slice (optional)

Method

  • Add all ingredients to mixing glass 
  • Stir down for 15-20 seconds 
  • Strain into a rocks glass, add ice
  • Garnish with an orange slice

1027 Spiced Apple (Hot)

Ingredients

  • 50ml Windrush 1027 Spiced Rum
  • 80ml apple juice
  • 20ml lemon juice
  • 30ml cinnamon syrup
  • 1 tablespoon caster sugar
  • Cinnamon stick and apple slice for garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Heat apple juice, lemon juice, and cinnamon syrup in a pan (don’t boil)
  2. Add Windrush 1027 Spiced Rum and caster sugar
  3. Stir until sugar dissolves
  4. Pour into a heatproof glass or mug
  5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and apple slice

1027 Spiced Colada

Ingredients

  • 50ml Windrush 1027 Spiced Rum
  • 10ml fresh lime juice
  • 30ml pineapple juice
  • 25ml coconut purée
  • 10ml sugar syrup
  • Toasted coconut flakes and a lime wheel (optional)

Method

  • Blend all ingredients with crushed ice until smooth
  • Pour into a chilled glass
  • Garnish with toasted coconut flakes and a lime wheel
